The Case-UC Berkeley Field Project was established in 2006 by a grant from the Carnegie Corporation of New York to bring scholars at Centers for Advanced Studies and Education (CASE) universities and scholars affiliated with The Caucasus Research Resource Centers (CRRC) to UC Berkeley for an intensive two week seminar. Each scholar is paired with an ISEEES affiliated faculty member and a graduate student to produce a field report (maximum ten pages) along with a readings list and one or two syllabi. The field reports consist of a literature review, an analysis of major contending theoretical approaches in the field, and a description of the main goals/topics that the visiting scholar would cover in an undergraduate lecture class and a graduate seminar on the field theme
